Company's Garden Opens for Craft Market

The City of Cape Town is to open its green heart, the Company's Garden, for a permanent craft market which will stimulate job creation andattract tourists to the City Centre on Wednesday, 28 September 2005. The craft market is a result of a partnership between the City, the Cape Craft and Design Institute [CCDI] and the Tourism Enterprise Programme [TEP].

The partnership has developed criteria to invite 20 crafters to market their products directly to Company's Garden visitors, received exposure to the international tourist market and will be listed on the Garden route map.
