Logo with slogan: Age of hope through struggle to freedomThe anti-pass veterans attended a special debate on "SA Women: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" at Parliament on International Women's Day. The Minister of Home Affairs (Nosiviwe Nqakula) opened the debate and the Minister of Public Service and Administration (Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi) and the Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture (Ntombazana Botha) participated with other prominent women speakers from various political parties.

It was confirmed during the powerful debate that the legacy for the struggle for equal opportunities is not unique only to SA. During the afternoon tribute was paid to:

the celebration of the acts of ordinary women who played extraordinary roles and their impact on our society in cities, towns and villages as a whole

the struggle of women for the freedom to be themselves; defining and shaping their identity for the sake of the future of the nation

the responding of women to their inner voices to create a human future to live life to the fullest and achieve of goals

to healing and empowering of women - not only for the moment but to focus on sustainability

Most of the people who attended the debate will remember these words: "today is better than yesterday, tomorrow will even be better than today".
