Melkbos Oppiesee just south of Melkbosstrand is adjacent to the Melkbos Cultural Centre. It is very popular and is situated on the Atlantic coast in the metropole only 32km north of Cape Town. It is surrounded by dunes and protected, rare and indigenous strandveld and renosterfynbos veld types. There is access to the beach and panoramic views of Robben Island, Table Mountain and Table Bay.Distance from Cape Town: 30 km
