Drought Relief
DESCRIPTION: |
R9 million worth of drought relief has been made available to farmers in the Western Cape. The aid is aimed at assisting stock farmers with fodder and at providing drinking water to people and animals in drought-stricken areas.R1 million has been made available for the drilling or reopening of boreholes. R8 million is available for the provision of aide in the form of fodder and the transportation of fodder to effected farmers. |
INSTRUCTIONS: |
Only farmers who have registered for assistance will be able to claim drought relief. Application forms are available from the local extension officers based in the district offices of the Provincial Departments of Agriculture.
