Veterinary Laboratory Service
DESCRIPTION: |
This service primarily involves veterinary diagnostics in relation to production animals in the agricultural sector. A wide range of diagnostic and analytical laboratory tests can be performed in the fields of bacteriology, meat hygiene, biochemistry, virology, histopathology, serology and parasitology. The laboratory also performs post mortems and conducts investigations into problems of a veterinary nature. It also gives advice regarding disease control and prevention. |
INSTRUCTIONS: |
The service is available on a 'walk in' basis during normal working hours from Monday to Friday. For individuals or organisations that have not used the service before, it is advisable to contact the laboratory telephonically to ensure that their needs can be met.
