Animal Housing and Handling
DESCRIPTION: |
The Agricultural Engineering Directorate plans and designs economical viable animal housing and handling facilities for sheep, cattle, beef, dairy herds, chickens and pigs. Detailed costing of these facilities can be provided on request. It also surveys the area for new buildings or present buildings that can be utilised in this regard. The design of manure handling facilities, such as retention dams, to prevent the pollution of rivers and streams, are also catered for. The Directorate also designs affordable animal housing and handling facilities for small farmers. |
