Starting a Co-operative
DESCRIPTION:
A co-operative is a business undertaken by a group of people who work together to achieve their aims.

All co-operatives need to be registered with the Registrar of Co-operatives.

The Department of Agriculture has published seventeen manuals on the running of a cooperative as part of their programme to promote agribusinesses. These manuals provide detailed information on how to start and administer a co-operative.

Please note that these files are large and may take some time to download.
