Reporting a Crime
DESCRIPTION:
To report a crime that has already happened, you should telephone or visit your nearest police station. To report rape or child abuse there are special considerations that apply. In an emergency you should call the emergency police telephone number 10111 or 112. Once you have reported the crime, you should receive a case number and you should be given the name of the detective who will be investigating your case. If you are traumatised you can get help for that and if you need witness protection that is also available. If you feel a firearm needs to be removed from a dangerous person you must ask for that. If you need a protection order for domestic violence you can also begin that process at the police station.
