In-Service Teacher Training

The WCED offers in-service training through:
The Cape Teaching Institute, in Kuils River, provides intensive in-service training, especially for teachers from disadvantaged backgrounds. Up to 50 teachers at a time stay at the Institute for training which lasts for six to eight weeks. During this time substitute teachers take their classes. Other training programmes include training for specific projects, such as the implementation of the revised national curriculum. |
