Number Plate Manufacturer Registrations
DESCRIPTION:
In terms of the National Road Traffic Act, anyone manufacturing or selling licence plates must be registered.
INSTRUCTIONS:
You apply to be a registered licence plate manufacturer by completing form MNP and submitting it at Department of Transport and Public Works, Law Administration Division. The application must be accompanied by:
  • a certified copy of your ID
  • the appropriate fees.

Payment can be made electronically or you can include a cheque with your application.

Cheques should be made payable to the Department of Transport and Public Works and posted to the Law Administration Division.

Proof of payment can be faxed to the Law Administration Division at 021 483 2357 or included with your posted application.
