The municipality is responsible for ensuring that its area is clean and litter free. This includes providing bins, cleaning crews and enforcing by laws against littering and other pollution. The following complaints can be directed to the Cleansing Branch:
Waste from the different suburbs of Cape Town are taken to one of the six land fill sites. To make a complaint you can call the Cleansing Branch Customer Care Desk at 021 400 5931.To make a complaint about illegal dumping in progress contact the Civic Patrol Branch at 021 447 2366. |
