What structures and processes will make the GDS happen?

The Provincial Development Council (PDC)
is a partnership between government, business, labour and civil society. It is the main driver of the GDS.

District and Metro Growth & Development Summits (GDS)
in all five Districts and the Metro to define a long-term developmental agenda at local level.

Integrated Development Planning (IDP)
is a process for municipalities to prepare 5-year strategic plans aligned with the GDS. The IDPs are approved by the MEC for Local Government and Housing and the Premier

The Provincial Programme of Action (PPoA)
is the document that says what Government will do and who will be responsible for implementation
