Launch of Ultra-Modern Waste Water Treated Effluent Plant

In an effort to boost Cape Town's water supply, the City of Cape Town will launch an ultra-modern treated effluent plant to alleviate the growing water shortage in the metropole. Councillor Lionel Roelf, Mayoral Committee Member for Trading Services, will officiate.

The Potsdam Waste Water Treatment Plant in Milnerton, was built at a cost of R19 million and is expected to generate an additional 38 million litres (mega litres) of non-potable water per day for the Blaauwberg
area.
