Primary Schools in Fire-Prone Hout Bay Learn about Disaster Reduction

Disaster Risk Management officials will today be presenting public education sessions on school safety and preparedness, disaster risk and personal safety at two schools in Hout Bay as part of the observation of International Disaster Reduction Day.

The activities are in line with the theme for the day, which is "Disaster Reduction Begins at School". The officials will be presenting interactive sessions to learners of Sentinel Primary (10:00) and Oranjekloof Primary (11:00), both in Hout Bay.
