The concept involves the one-stop-shop idea where SMMEs are able to access a single point to seek assistance. It is important to note that the RED Door and the pipeline are integral to each other and both will need to be maintained efficiently for the support initiative to be successful.
The RED Door will be a familiar brand where SMMEs all over the province will be able to access non specialist advice and where specialised services are required will be referred to a reliable source.
The entrepreneur will be guided (hand-held) through his/her business journey ensuring that optimum success is achieved. This will further be enhanced by providing internet access at these centres.
The RED Doors will offer intensive training assistance programme to SMMEs, which will be affordable and relevant.
The Department will monitor and evaluate these RED doors for quality and performance.
