Parent's Safety Rules for Children

Always know your child's friends and their whereabouts.
Always keep your child in sight when in public places like shopping centres, etc.
Never send your child alone, day or night, to run an errand.
Don't leave your child alone in a parked car.
Teach your child to always take the same and safest route to and from school everyday.
Teach your children the "BUDDY" system - to always walk and play with friends.
Teach your children not to let anyone touch them inappropriately.
Teach your children never to accept lifts, gifts and money from someone they do not know.
Teach your children to screen for help if anyone tries to take them by force.
Teach your children to always report any unusual incidents to adults whom they trust.
Teach your children how to use the telephone if they need help.
Teach your children not to disclose personal information about themselves and their family to strangers.
