The Nobel Square Technical Committee
After the launch, the Nobel Square Project Committee (NSPC) was appointed with Frank Kilbourn, Advisor on Tourism to the former Premier of the Western Cape, as the Chairperson. After a change in provincial government in April 2004, Dr Lionel Louw, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Premier of the Western Cape, became the new Chairperson.
The NSPC represents:
- the four Nobel Peace Prize Laureates
- the Western Cape Government
- V&A Waterfront
- as well as the Western Cape's tourism and arts sectors.
At the same time a committee consisting of Western Cape arts and technical experts was appointed under Chairpersonship of Prof Sandra Klopper, Chair: Department of Fine Arts, University of Stellenbosch, to provide the NSPC with expert artistic and technical advice.
