About the Sculptures

The sculptures of South Africa's four Nobel Peace Prize Laureates will stand in the form of a crescent, with Cape Town's famous landmark Table Mountain in the background.

The Peace and Democracy sculpture will be slightly more to the centre of the square. All five sculptures will be cast in bronze and stand on a granite area of approximately 400 square metres. The Laureates' sculptures will be slightly bigger than life-size and each will have a quotation engraved in their chosen language in front of their sculptures.
