The Public Transport Branch aims to deliver a safe, affordable, reliable and accessible public transport system. It also aims to provide a quality public transport infrastructure.

The Branch is directly responsible for:

• The transformation of the minibus taxi industry.
• Changing interim contracts to scheduled contracts to get rid of destructive competition on routes.
• Managing the Provincial Operating License Board.
