I have received the report of Mr Len Dekker, the Chairperson appointed by me in terms of Section 106 of the Municipal Systems Act to investigate allegations of maladministration, non-compliance with statutory obligations or other alleged serious malpractices committed by any person or persons in the Kannaland Municipality or any person or persons, associated with the Kannaland Municipality.

I have instructed the Department of Local Government to evaluate the report and to make recommendations.

I also wish to thank the two-person investigation committee consisting of Mr Len Dekker as chairperson and Mr Efraim Oppelt for the manner in which they performed their duties.
