Community Policing Forums (CPFs) were set up throughout the country asapolitical structures with the objective of promoting relations betweenthe police and community. Since inception, CPF programmes havebeen guided by constitutions which differ from CPF to CPF.
In the Western Cape however, that is set to change. After a series ofconsultations lasting several years, Community PolicingForums will now operate under a uniform single constitution.
The Uniform Constitution for Community Policing Forums will be officially launched on 8 December 2004 at 7 Wale street- 6th floor dining hall, 07:30am for 08:00 am.
