The Tinto U/15 Soccer tournament is the initiative of the Department to honour the role of the late Mr Tinto in the development of football in Cape Town. The four professional teams of Cape Town, Ajax, Santos, Vasco and FC Fortune have agreed to partner the Department and will each identify and take a minimum of 2 players into their respective development programmes.
A total of 32 teams will take part in the tournament. The draw will be announced at the launch by MEC Jacobs. There will be four groups of six with the top 2 teams advancing to the next round. The programme includes speeches and entertainment.
