Music will fill Wale Street from 9:00AM onwards with performances by choirs such as the Heavenly Voices and Cape Malay choir, as well the South African Police band in front of the Provincial Government Buildings at 7 Wale Street. Groups of Western Cape volunteers will also participate in the festivities under the theme Voluntarism. Premier Ebrahim Rasool is expected to arrive shortly after 10:00AM and will be received by Western Cape Speaker Shaun Byneveldt.
The Premier will deliver his State of the Province address at 11:00AM inside the Provincial Parliament, indicating the road ahead for the Western Cape. All media are invited to attend and cover the event.
