The Premier's Intergovernmental Forum (PIF) preparatory meeting was held on 1June 2005 at the Spier Resort outside Stellenbosch. It was attended by the Premier, Provincial Cabinet, Salga Western Cape, MayCo from the City, District and Municipal Mayors, and senior government officials from both Provincial and Local Government. The purpose of the meeting was to inter alia discuss the objectives of the Intergovernmental Relations Framework Bill, particularly the alignment and co-operation of the various levels of government.
