The media are invited to attend and cover the historic signing between Premier Ebrahim Rasool and his counterpart, the Governor of South Sulawesi and the Mayor of Macassar in South Sulawesi [with which Cape Town has significant historic links] in the Republic of Indonesia, of a 'Letter of Intent' toward the development of a Twinning Agreement between the two Macassars.

The signing and a media conference will take place at the Slave Lodge at Leeuwenhof (the Premier's Official Residence in Hof Street, Oranjezicht) at 12h30 on Thursday 24 March 2005.
