The Metro Police Women's Network Forum will be hosting their first Netball Day in Bellville. It is the Forum's aim to use the day as a team building exercise and to foster camaraderie amongst female members.

Venue: Proteaville Indoor Sports Centre, Peter Barlowe Street, Bellville South

Metro Police Deputy Chief Pinky Mathabathe said: "The time is opportune for the Metro Police women to be capacitated in various spheres of law enforcement. However, we first need to create an environment where we can instil a sense of belonging to boost morale amongst the women in the Department. All eight areas within the Metro Police Department will be represented at this inaugural event.

At 09:00 the Chairperson will address the women after which the matches will commence. A presentation ceremony will end off the day's proceedings.
