The escalating crime on the N2 and R300 highways has featured a great deal in the media recently with a public outcry to government insisting on action. In a further effort to tighten up security and safety for users of these two routes Nashua Cape Town, Vodacom and Motorola are working together with the City of Cape Town to sponsor a one month trial of this brand new product which allows users to turn a regular cell phone into a "walky-talky" at the click of a button.

Twenty five Motorola handsets will be issued to selected personnel working on these two highways. Councillor Dumisani Ximbi, Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security will officiate at the event.
