The Western Cape Growth and Development Summit is crucial to government's efforts to develop a sustainable growth and economic strategy for the province in partnership with Civil Society, Organised Labour and Organised Business.

Deputy Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies will deliver an address entitled "The National Industry Strategy- Implications for Growth and Development in the Western Cape. The Provincial Minister for Environment, Planning and Economic Development, Tasneem Essop, and a representative of each of the social partners in the PDC will also address the summit.
