National Treasury Regulations are issued by the National Treasury in terms of sections 76 (1), (2) and (4) of the Public Finance Management Act, no 1 of 1999 as amended, (PFMA) to govern the application of specific facets of the PFMA by accounting officers of government departments and constitutional institutions and where applicable, also by accounting authorities of public entities. >
