Provincial Treasury Instructions (PTI's) are issued by the Provincial Treasury to accounting officers of provincial departments and accounting authorities of provincial public entities as complimentary legislative requirements to the PFMA and any regulations or instructions issued by the National Treasury. PTI's are meant to govern specific local conditions that would not find application in the more generic national legislative frameworks, as well as to close any perceived gaps or reduce unnecessary risky situations within the financial management field.  >
