In 2008 Groote Schuur Hospital, an institution known to nearly every Capetonian and many South Africans, will be 70 years old. To mark this occasion it is intended to bring out a history of the hospital covering these 70 years from all angles.

I therefore appeal to everyone who has had experience of Groote Schuur Hospital - whether as patients, staff or visitors - to write down their memories of these experiences and to send them to:
